
SIP 2025 - Math Internship (Metro Campus) at Tri-C TRIO Department
The goal of federal TRIO programs is to assist low-income and first generation youth and adults in enrolling in and completing a post-secondary program. The TRIO Programs at Cuyahoga Community College help prepare students for successful completion of secondary education, admission into a post-secondary institution, retention and completion of post-secondary education, and preparation for successful post-baccalaureate programs. The TRIO Programs identify students who show potential for success and provide encouragement, support, and assistance.
Note: In-person interviews will be conducted on Feb. 28, 2025, at West and Metro. These interview fairs are your only opportunity to meet and interview with hiring supervisors.
Works with the TRIO Student Support Services Instructional Assistant to tutor TRIO SSS students individually or in small groups. Providing academic tutorial assistance in support of the material taught in mathematics classes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated knowledge and competence of fundamental/advanced Mathematical concepts with the ability to apply them in various situations.
* Placement in 1000-level Math or higher - Ability to explain concepts to others effectively.
- Ability to work comfortably with people.
- Possess patience and a positive attitude in establishing an encouraging learning environment.

Program Requirements
- Must be enrolled in current semester (Spring 2025)
- Must enroll in a minimum of one Summer 2025 course
- Must be returning to Tri-C for Fall 2025 Semester
- Must have a declared major on record
This position is part of the Cuyahoga Community College Summer Internship Program.
