SIP 2025 -Dental Hygiene Summer Internship (Metro) at Tri-C Department of Dental Hygiene
The Department of Dental Hygiene at Cuyahoga Community College provides Dental Hygiene education and services to a diverse community of learners in support of workforce and economic development. Students complete didactic, laboratory, and clinical coursework as they prepare for their careers as dental hygienists. Upon successful completion of the Dental Hygiene course of study, students are eligible to sit for the National Board Dental Hygiene Exam (NBDHE) and regional board exams. As part of their clinical education, students provide dental hygiene care in our Tri-C Dental Hygiene Clinic which is located at Tri-C's Metropolitan Campus.
Note: In-person interviews will be conducted on Feb. 28, 2025, at West and Metro. These interview fairs are your only opportunity to meet and interview with hiring supervisors.
This summer internship consists of assisting Dental Hygiene department personnel in maintaining and preparing the Tri-C Dental Hygiene Clinic for Fall semester.
Responsibilities
- assisting with maintenance of dental hygiene lab
- assisting with inventory/restocking of supplies
- assisting with organizing forms, manuals, and other department documents
- assisting with communications with area dental employers.
Preferred Qualifications
- experience with infection control protocols, patient confidentiality, MS office suite, dental office experience

Program Requirements
- Must be enrolled in current semester (Spring 2025)
- Must enroll in a minimum of one Summer 2025 course
- Must be returning to Tri-C for Fall 2025 Semester
- Must have a declared major on record
