SIP 2025 -Creative Arts Academy Summer Intern (Metro) at Tri-C Creative Arts Academy

The Creative Arts Academy is Cuyahoga Community College’s preparatory program for pre-college students ages 4-18. We offer mastery-level classes and private lessons to students of all experience levels and backgrounds. Students study with distinguished faculty artists who are passionate about nurturing students’ needs and strengths to provide the most rewarding experience possible.

Hours can be flexible to accommodate class and outside job schedule, however we do need our greatest support between 11am-2pm during the camp lunch period.

Note: In-person interviews will be conducted on Feb. 28, 2025, at West and Metro. These interview fairs are your only opportunity to meet and interview with hiring supervisors.

Tri-C’s Creative Arts Summer Camps are designed for talented, smart, enthusiastic children and teenagers who are eager to discover the passions and talents in the arts. In Summer 2025 there will be 10 Creative Arts Camps taking place from June 2 through July 11, including Dance, Orchestra, Vocal Arts, Band, Media Arts, Percussion, and Keyboard Camps. We anticipate over 800 students between the ages of 4-18 will participate in our camps over the 6-week period.
The Creative Arts Academy is seeking a summer intern who is eager to join the team to help manage the camp activities. Specific duties will assisting the Creative Arts Staff in the following areas:

Responsibilities

  • Student Registration
  • Daily Camp Check-in and Dismissal
  • Preparation of Camp Materials (Music, Schedules, Performance Programs, etc)
  • Assist Camp Faculty with camp activities
  • Assist with Lunch Duty
  • Other General Duties as Assigned

It is a fast-paced, fun environment--a summer of creative learning!

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in an arts discipline--music, dance, or visual arts.
  • Enjoys working with children.
  • Takes direction from staff leaders, but is able to work independently as needed.
  • Flexible--ability to adapt to daily activities that will vary from week to week--work hours may vary depending on the camp activities each week.
  • Motivated to work collaboratively while gaining experience in arts administration.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Pursuing an Associate Degree
  • Post-Degree Certificate
  • Short-Term Certificate in an IT discipline.

Program Requirements

  • Must be enrolled in current semester (Spring 2025)
  • Must enroll in a minimum of one Summer 2025 course
  • Must be returning to Tri-C for Fall 2025 Semester
  • Must have a declared major on record

This position is part of the Cuyahoga Community College Summer Internship Program.
