SIP 2025 - IT Intern, Computer Science (West) at Tri-C Computer Science Department

Note: In-person interviews will be conducted on Feb. 28, 2025, at West and Metro. These interview fairs are your only opportunity to meet and interview with hiring supervisors.
IT Intern for the Computer Science Department at Tri-C's Western Campus
This internship aims to help students develop both technical and soft skills, preparing them to become successful job seekers and employees in the tech field.
Responsibilities
- Enhance LinkedIn profiles, resume reviews, mock interviews, and more.
- Research and share with staff and fellow interns.
- Regular presentations to boost confidence and presentation skills.
- Engage in short-term projects to assist the Computer Science department.
- Support Opportunities in Tech initiatives
- Cybersecurity Defense Center Maintenance:
- Research and recommend solutions to technical problems.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot network and server systems, hardware, and software.
- Provide technical assistance on hardware and software-related issues.
- Take part in various technical projects as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently enrolled IT student.
- Knowledge of computer systems and software.
- Familiarity with network and system security.
- Experience with hardware and software installation.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Passion for the field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Pursuing an Associate Degree
- Post-Degree Certificate
- Short-Term Certificate in an IT discipline.

Program Requirements
- Must be enrolled in current semester (Spring 2025)
- Must enroll in a minimum of one Summer 2025 course
- Must be returning to Tri-C for Fall 2025 Semester
- Must have a declared major on record
This position is part of the Cuyahoga Community College Summer Internship Program.
