SIP 2025 - Student Affairs Intern (West) at Tri-C Student Affairs
The responsibility of the Student Affairs Office is to advocate for the student population here at the College. We provide leadership in the development of services and programs to enrich student life and enhance the student experience. The department works directly with Student Success, Student Life, TRIO, Hispanic Counsel, SOGE, Student Accessibility Services (SAS), and other academic areas.
Note: In-person interviews will be conducted on Feb. 28, 2025, at West and Metro. These interview fairs are your only opportunity to meet and interview with hiring supervisors.
Responsibilities
- Provides leadership and assistance to peers with applications and course registration
- Provides assistance to peers in navigating campus services and enrollment processes at Tri-C
- Acquires familiarity with campus operations, facilities, student services and My Tri-C Space
- greets and assists students at key Student Services areas, conducting campus tours and serving as host at campus events and activities
- Conducts campus tours
- Makes phone calls to new, prospective, and current students (as needed)
- Provides overall excellent customer service to students and members of the community
- Assists in creating event collateral
- Special projects as assigned by the Student Success Team
- Performs other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
- Must be currently enrolled in Tri-C
- Declared major on record
- 2.5 GPA (minimum)
- Demonstrated commitment to providing exemplary customer service
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must successfully complete pre-employment background and/or drug testing
- Ability to work a flexible schedule (potentially including evenings and weekends)
- Ability to organize work and set priorities within a general structure
- Possess sensitivity to appropriately respond to the needs of a diverse population
- Ability to confidentially and discreetly handle subject matters requiring privacy and sensitivity
- Possess basic-level proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Program Requirements
- Must be enrolled in current semester (Spring 2025)
- Must enroll in a minimum of one Summer 2025 course
- Must be returning to Tri-C for Fall 2025 Semester
- Must have a declared major on record
This position is part of the Cuyahoga Community College Summer Internship Program.
