SIP 2025 - Sidewalks and Permits Intern (Off Campus) at City of Cleveland - MOCAP

Responsibilities:

Under general supervision, prepare estimate packages for the 50/50 Sidewalk Program and prepare Permit violation and citation packages. Performs other job-related duties as required.

  • Translates old citation/violation paper files to an electronic file system
  • Transfer data from hard copy files to electronic format
  • Enter email information from 50/50 Program into a tracking log for ESOs and Building & Housing reviews
  • Collate and compile resident estimates for the 50/50 program
  • Assisting with Field Measurements 

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Be enrolled in an accredited college or university with an interest in Engineering, Construction, Finance, Public Administration or a related field. 
  • Strong fluency in Microsoft Office products like Excel, etc. 
  • Ability to work independently, exercising responsible judgment and initiative.
  • Must have excellent verbal communication skills and exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Be available to work within the prescribed hours or flexible hours if offered.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of program development and events planning; familiarity planning youth programs; ability to utilize a personal computer using Publisher, Power point, Excel, and Word; strong interpersonal skills; ability to prioritize and meet deadlines; excellent communication, and ability to orchestrate work assignments from conception to completion.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Be enrolled in an accredited college or university with an interest in Engineering, Construction, Finance, Public Administration or a related field.

Program Requirements

  • Must be enrolled in current semester (Spring 2025)
  • Must enroll in a minimum of one Summer 2025 course
  • Must be returning to Tri-C for Fall 2025 Semester
  • Must have a declared major on record

This position is part of the Cuyahoga Community College Summer Internship Program.
