SIP 2025 - Student Veteran Assistant (East Campus) at Tri-C Veterans and Military Connected Services
As the name suggests, this department is here to assist veterans as well as those who are military-connected, including those still serving or family members of a service member. There is a VMCS center at each of the four main campuses. The VMCS team can help you with anything related to Veterans Affairs education benefits, GI Bill, registration, and scholarships.
Note: In-person interviews will be conducted on Feb. 28, 2025, at West and Metro. These interview fairs are your only opportunity to meet and interview with hiring supervisors.
Responsibilities
- Provide assistance to Veteran students with general inquiries via phone, email, or in person
- Assist veteran students with campus navigation
- Coordinate orientation to campus for new student veterans
- Assist with the development and distribution of accurate and current Veteran Services & Programs publications to relevant constituencies (brochures, flyers, posters and web content)
- Assist walk-in Veteran students with related Admissions process
- Maintain cooperative working relationships with students, Tri-C staff and faculty
- General office duties as needed

Program Requirements
- Must be enrolled in current semester (Spring 2025)
- Must enroll in a minimum of one Summer 2025 course
- Must be returning to Tri-C for Fall 2025 Semester
- Must have a declared major on record
This position is part of the Cuyahoga Community College Summer Internship Program.
