
SIP 2025 - Volunteer Intern (Off Campus) at Shoes and Clothes for Kids
The mission of Shoes and Clothes for Kids is to break barriers to school attendance by providing shoes, clothes, and school supplies to students in need.
Note: In-person interviews will be conducted on Feb. 28, 2025, at West and Metro. These interview fairs are your only opportunity to meet and interview with hiring supervisors.
The Volunteer Intern assists the Volunteer Manager with contributing to the day-to-day operations, including but not limited to volunteer recruitment, training and orientation, maintaining volunteer records, and ensuring volunteers are effectively engaged in the organization’s programs and events.
Preferred Qualifications
- Must be outgoing, friendly, approachable, and a team player.
- Ability to interact with diverse groups of people and foster positive relationships.
- Demonstratable proficiency in Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel,
- OneDrive, and PowerPoint) with volunteer management software is a plus.
- Must have the ability to understand directions, ask questions when needed, and complete work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to manage time, multi-task during the day, and meet daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines.
- Must have organizational skills that on a daily basis make full use of diverse groups of volunteers and paid temporary staff.
- Must be able to work in a non-office environment with an appropriate level of professionalism.

Program Requirements
- Must be enrolled in current semester (Spring 2025)
- Must enroll in a minimum of one Summer 2025 course
- Must be returning to Tri-C for Fall 2025 Semester
- Must have a declared major on record
This position is part of the Cuyahoga Community College Summer Internship Program.
Note: International students are eligible for employment with on-campus/ internal Tri-C departments only.
