SIP 2025 - Photography Curriculum Developer (Off Campus) at From Me 2 U, Inc

From Me 2 U, Inc. (FM2U) is a nonprofit organization founded in 2011 by Lydia Hill, rooted in a dedication to empowering youth, families, and aspiring professionals through comprehensive programs focused on personal growth, skill development, and community engagement. Originally conceived as a response to the closure of a school-based youth prevention program under the Cleveland Department of Public Health, FM2U has grown to offer diverse services that target various age groups, all designed to promote resilience, leadership, and positive life outcomes.

FM2U's core offerings, known as the Signature Six Club Programs, address the developmental needs of participants from elementary school to adulthood. These programs include:

Inventing Me (grades 3-5): A group mentoring program focusing on Prevention & Wellness, STREAM (Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Arts, and Math), Community Service, and Social-Emotional Development.

Working On Me (grades 6-8): A techno-partnership program where students receive training in prevention and wellness alongside technology-based entrepreneurship, with hands-on experiences in podcasting, architectural design, and interior design.

Choose 2 Be U (grades 9-12): A life coaching program that develops skills in life management, leadership, service, and peer education through community-based and school-based formats.

Becoming Me (college students): An internship program providing life coaching, mentoring, and hands-on training in youth development, management, and program development.

The Best of Me: An intervention program offering clinical and non-clinical support services, addressing behavioral health, self-management, and family relationship-building.

Inspired By Me (adults): Life coaching services designed to help adults establish and achieve personal goals and aspirations.

FM2U also offers Specialty Programs, such as the Young Writer's Club, Lead the Way leadership training, and the Mother-Daughter Circle, which fosters bonding and growth among mothers and daughters through skill-building in empathy, communication, and identity exploration.

Incorporated in Ohio in 2014, FM2U operates out of Cleveland’s Shaker Square, extending its services to families referred by community partners, including schools, youth programs, and social services. The organization collaborates with various local groups like Warrensville Heights YMCA and MGW Resource Center, reflecting its commitment to a collective approach to community support and empowerment.

Through its mission, FM2U aims to “protect and empower the future by supporting its foundation: youth, families, and aspiring professionals.” Guided by a philosophy of building stable, self-sufficient communities through strong, self-aware individuals, FM2U’s programs serve as a platform for growth and community resilience, offering the structure and support for individuals to thrive personally, academically, and professionally.
