SIP 2025 - Nonprofit Research and Data Analyst Intern (REMOTE) at Reaching Heights

Note: In-person interviews will be conducted on Feb. 28, 2025, at West and Metro. These interview fairs are your only opportunity to meet and interview with hiring supervisors.

Organization:

Reaching Heights is seeking a highly motivated research and data analyst intern to join our team.

Responsibilities

  • Assist staff with data collection, cleaning, and analysis.
  • Learn and utilize statistical software (e.g. Microsoft Power BI) to analyze data sets.
  • Create data visualizations (charts, graphs) to communicate findings clearly.
  • Assist with the preparation of research reports and presentations.
  • Conduct literature reviews on relevant topics.
  • May participate in grant writing and data collection for fundraising efforts.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in data science, sociology, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, Teams).
  • Working knowledge of statistical concepts is a plus.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau) is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A passion for the nonprofit sector and a desire to make a difference.

Program Requirements

  • Must be enrolled in current semester (Spring 2025)
  • Must enroll in a minimum of one Summer 2025 course
  • Must be returning to Tri-C for Fall 2025 Semester
  • Must have a declared major on record

This position is part of the Cuyahoga Community College Summer Internship Program.
