SIP 2025 - Nonprofit Operations Intern (REMOTE) at Reaching Heights

Connecting, Supporting, and Enriching Students, Teachers, and the Community through impactful programs, resources, and events with intentional focus on removing barriers to education aligned with the CH-UH District's Educational Equity Policy to ensure equitable access to educational opportunity and achievement for all students.

Note: In-person interviews will be conducted on Feb. 28, 2025, at West and Metro. These interview fairs are your only opportunity to meet and interview with hiring supervisors. 

Are you passionate about making a difference and want to gain valuable experience in the nonprofit sector?

This internship is a great opportunity for a highly motivated student to learn about the inner workings of a nonprofit organization. You will gain exposure to various aspects of nonprofit operations, including:

Program Management: Assist with program development, execution, and evaluation.

Fundraising & Grant Writing: Research prospects, support grant writing efforts, and help with data entry for fundraising initiatives.

Community Engagement: Build relationships with community members and organizations to increase awareness and participation in the nonprofit's mission.

Marketing & Communications: Assist with creating and promoting marketing materials, including social media campaigns.

Administrative Support: Provide general office support, such as data entry, responding to emails, and processing mailings (manual and electronic).

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the nonprofit's mission and objectives.
  • Assist with various administrative tasks as assigned.
  • Contribute to program development and execution.
  • Support fundraising efforts through research, data entry, and potentially grant writing.
  • Attend meetings, workshops, and events (as applicable).
  • Participate in professional development opportunities (as applicable). 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a degree program (preferred)
  • Strong interest in the nonprofit sector
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Time management skills and a strong work ethic

Program Requirements

  • Must be enrolled in current semester (Spring 2025)
  • Must enroll in a minimum of one Summer 2025 course
  • Must be returning to Tri-C for Fall 2025 Semester
  • Must have a declared major on record

This position is part of the Cuyahoga Community College Summer Internship Program. 

NoteInternational students are eligible for employment with on-campus/ internal Tri-C departments only.
